This guide will walk you through the steps of adding Pocket Prep to a Canvas Course. This will enable students to log in to Pocket Prep via SSO, directly from Canvas.
Adding Pocket Prep to a Canvas Course
1. In Canvas, navigate to the course where you want to add the Pocket Prep SSO link.
2. Go to Settings > Apps > View App Configurations and click “+ App”
3. Fill out the Add App form as follows and click “Submit”

4. Click “Install”
5. Click the Cog icon next to the new App and click “Deployment ID”
6. Copy the Deployment Id number shown in the modal as you will need it for the final step.
Reload the page to see “Pocket Prep” appear as a link in the left navigation for the course. Clicking the link will show an error message as we still need to complete the last step: enabling the new integration in Pocket Prep.
7. In the Instructor Dashboard Integrations section, under your active integration select “Add Integration to Course”

*If you have added the SSO link to multiple courses and, therefore, have multiple Deployment IDs and Course IDs, make sure to specify which deployment/course IDs go with which exams, instructors and groups.
When adding a student to an exam, Pocket Prep will automatically attempt to assign a Seat to the student if they do not already have one. If your account is out of available seats, the student will still be logged in, but their account will remain Basic until you purchase more seats.
